The General Manager shall be responsible for administering and applying the decisions of the Board of the Company and act as one of the persons who effectively direct the business of the Company (“6-eyes”). The General Manager shall represent the Company to all the government, regulatory and professional bodies. Furthermore, the General Manager shall monitor the proper execution of the procedures set in the IOM and provide for the unencumbered execution of the duties of the Company’s employees. The General Manager shall be responsible for replacing the Managing Director, during his absence in all his duties and responsibilities. The General Manager shall be a member of the Investment Committee and the Risk Management Committee of the Company, where he shall be responsible to keep the minutes of the meetings of this Committee.
More specifically, the responsibilities of the General Manager shall include, inter alia, the following:
(a) formulating the Company’s strategy in terms of the development of existing and new services
(b) governing the Company by broad policies and objectives
(c) ensuring that the Company maintains and implements an adequate internal control mechanism
(d) ensuring that the Company complies with its legal obligations to CySEC
(e) assessing on a regular basis that the Company’s policies and procedures are in compliance with the relevant Law and Directives issued by CySEC
(f) Ensure that sufficient and experienced resources are available to the Company to carry out its operations
(g) being responsible for the Replacement Policy of the Company
(h) participating in the Investment and Risk Management Committee meetings
(i) keeping in file the Risk Management and Investment Committee Meetings
(j) presenting to the Board the minutes of the Committees (and a report on the actions taken, as applicable)
(k) approving or rejecting Clients’ account applications
(l) reviewing/handling Clients’ complaints or grievances
(m) maintaining copies of the relevant certificates of professional competence of the Company’s staff, as applicable
(n) performing the human resources activities of the Company
(o) examining offers from suppliers before any budgeted expenditure is executed.
• Holder of CySECs Advance Certificate
• Preferable 3 years’ experience at a senior management role or 1 year as an Executive Director with a Cyprus or EU regulated forex company.
• University Degree in Law, Business, Economics or any other relevant field.
• Fluency in English and knowledge of Greek or other European language will be considered as an advantage.
• Well organised, and able to work under time constraints and deadlines
• Numerical Skills and analytical ability
• Organisational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, organise and prioritise workload
